Application Ontology
- 1. An ontology that describes concepts depending both on a particular domain and task, which are often specializations of both domain and task ontologies. These concepts often correspond to roles played by domain entities while performing a certain activity, like replaceable unit or spare component. ( [ Guarino, 1998 ])
- 2. An ontology that is created to accomplish some specified local task or application. ([ Arp et al., 2015 ])
- 3. An ontology that contains all the definitions needed to model the knowledge required for a particular applicaton. It often extends and specializes the vocabulary of the domain and of task ontologies for a given application. ([ Gómez-Pérez et al., 2004 ])
