Mass

1. A large body of matter with no definite shape. (Oxford dictionary)
2. The quantity of matter which a body contains, as measured by its acceleration under a given force or by the force exerted on it by a gravitational field. (Oxford dictionary (physics))
3. 1) A measure of the amount of matter in an object. Mass is usually measured in grams or kilograms. 2) a measurement of the quantity of matter contained in a particle or body regardless of its location in the universe and the gravitational force applied to it. Mass is constant, while weight is affected by the distance of the object from the center of the earth (or other such body). Mass is not affected by gravity. (chemistry dictionary)
